FEBRUARY 2024 TEEN SCIENCE NIGHT - COMETS! Comets - did you know that the size of the comet will affect how fast it melts? Did you even know that a comet is ice and that it melts? Students will discover comet energy using ice forms to determine how weight affects the rate of melting.
MARCH 2024 TEEN SCIENCE NIGHT - SKELETON SYSTEM! Students will get hands on experience manipulating a human skeleton system using Fred, Highway City Science Center's very own human skeleton model. We will learn about the skeletal system that is composed of body support, facilitation of movement, protection of internal organs and blood cell formation. This fun science activity will include outlining the shape of the student's body and labeling body parts.
APRIL 2024 TEEN SCIENCE NIGHT - CACTUS GRAFTING! Calling all curious teens for a night of botanical surgery and artistry! Students will explore the fascinating process of combining two plants, creating a symbiotic relationship that's commonly used in horticulture, fruit production, ornamentals, and beyond.
MAY 2024 TEEN SCIENCE NIGHT - CIRCUITARY! Get ready for an electrifying experience with this hands-on journey into Circuitry. In this exciting project, students will unleash their creativity by customizing and building their very own Operation Game using foam board, foil, wire, and basic electronic components, including a buzzer, and an LED.


AGES: Co-Ed 13 - 17 years (Students are requested to water bottle.)
